reproached for having done so without permission, Jeffries stopped to talk to her, to ask her about her past, to establish a connection that went beyond mere curiosity and reached deep into the soul of the person before him.<br>From then on he began to take an interest in and to document the lives of the homeless, from the alleys of Los Angeles to the most hidden and dangerous areas of the cities of France and Italy.<br>Through his gaze and his spiritual art, as he himself likes to call it, Lee Jeffries brings homeless people out of the darkness in which they are confined and seeks to restore light and dignity to every human being.<br>His most distinctive signature is the portrait;
